Costs and limits come from the in-match hotbar in creator videos; “—” means no clear screen yet. Every evolved form costs $200 and is limited to 2 (Jake the Lich: 1). There are no money-farm units.
What each hero does
- Finn — sword single-target early; upgrades into Meteor Strike area hits. Upgrade costs seen: $120, $280, $800, $1,300.
- Jake — the best starter: his 5th upgrade, Stretchy Tornado, becomes full AoE. Cheap and can be placed 4 times.
- Lady Rainicorn — single target.
- Flame Princess — burn damage over time; no evolution, so most lists rank her low.
- BMO — early wave clear (Controller Combo); worth keeping for King BMO.
- Marceline — Axe Chop single target, later a diving small AoE.
- Princess Bubblegum — Science Blaster; her evolution turns enemies into candy.
- Lemongrab — spawns Lemon People that walk the path and block enemies; Lemongrab 3’s lemons also stun.
- Billy — multi-hit area damage; ratings are split (tier list).
- Magic Man — Foot Hex (turns enemies into feet), Time Bubble slow at upgrade 3, Freak City full-range attack at upgrade 5.
- The Lich — Lich Fire (burn), Breath of Death (cone AoE + burn), Extinction full-range attack with a ~2 s stun.
- Ice King / Fire King — single-target bolts (Ice Bolt → Frozen Crown; Fire Bolt).
